MATBRO Loader Hydraulic Parts

Matbro is a brand of lifting equipment that is popular with farmers. The company, named after its founders, Matthew Brothers, manufactures forklifts in Hawley, Surrey, UK. Between 1964 and 1971, a line of forklifts with loads ranging from 8,000 lbs to 17,765 lbs were produced under the designation Yard Model and Compact Model.

Matbro manufactures a wide range of all terrain forklifts and telehandlers using Ford and Perkins engines. Matbro began operating at a loss in the late 1990s and eventually collapsed in 2003 after its parent company Powerscreen had accounting problems.

The old design of the Matbro was sold to the tractor company John Deere. The latter sublicensed them to the heavy lift company Terex, who continued to refine the design with new concepts such as side-mounted engines instead of rear-mounted ones and adopting hydrostatic drive.
